The Time Is Flying!!!

Hey All
As I write this I can't believe that nearly 4 weeks has gone by since I last wrote!!!.  Apologies.  It's been a really hectic time for all of us and it didn't help that I spilled a cup of tea over my computer a few weeks back!.  But luckily, I am now in florida on a 9 day vacation and computer is fixed!!!.  Yay.  However, I may as well be in Ireland with the weather here!  What a mix.  Thunder, rain, sun and humidity!.
We've had a fantastic few weeks on the road, plenty of birthdays.  Lynn and Mairead in April and then myself and Alex in May.  Thanks so much for all the lovely gifts and cards.  I'm such a lucky girl!!  I spent my birthday in Portland on a travel day.  We were making our way from Oakland to Spokane.  The girls were so good and organised a dinner for me and then decorated the bus for a little party as we travelled on to Spokane.  It's always fun when there's a party on the bus.
We played in some fab venues over the last few weeks, The Greek in LA which was freezing, San Diego Open Air Theatre, also freezing, Santa Barbara Bowl, yes you guessed, freezing!!!!  Beautiful venues though!.  I spent those three nights with hand warmers in my dress! That's how i got through it.  It's been wonderful though being back on the west coast.  There's so much to see and do.  The kids had a blast in LA going to Universal and they even got to Sea World in San Diego.  Very lucky children.  i don't think they realise how lucky they are.  They think it's the norm!.  We finished our West Coast part of the tour in beautiful Seattle.  If you have never been there, it is one place you should visit.  I've been very fortunate to spend quite a bit of time here between this show and Riverdance.  This was the first time i've been there that the weather has been good and it just made me love it even more.  It's a stunning, stunning city.  I only found out on the last day that they do an underground tour.  For those of you that don't know, seemingly Seattle is built on top of a city that was destroyed in the 1800's.  Next time I go, i'll definitely do that.  Also, it's the home of Starbucks!!!.  A manager who works for the company very kindly offered to take me on a tour of the roasting plant, but unfortunately we didn't have time to do it.  So thanks Gene for the offer, maybe next time.  But he sent me a fantastic Starbucks basket, which brightened my day.
So here we are on the home stretch now.  Looking forward to seeing many of you over the next few weeks.  Thanks again for all your love and support
Best wishes
Lisaxxxx

Hey Lisa

Happy Birthday! Lovely to here you were still able to celebrate your birthday while you were on the road! Certainly a chilly time to be touring the States, although it should be coming into Summer soon! Pity about not getting to see the Starbucks Plant, Love the smell of fresh roasting coffee!! So glad you are getting a nice break and able to relax for awhile. I guess some are still in the states and some in Ireland.

It has been a wonderful show and really well received. So glad that your birthday went well. It really is a family and that includes your forum friends in spirit if not in person.

Have a great final swing and we'll see you at a few more shows. Hugs from all of us to the kids too! God's blessings.

LISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's cool that you're here in Florida for your vacation! It makes me happy to know you are in my state. :D Sorry our weather has been crappy. We (Miami) haven't had any rain for a really long time and now it's like a monsoon outside! Definitely weird.

It sounds like the kids had a blast at Universal and Sea World! I've been to both (but in Florida, not Cali) and they're really fun!

I'm glad you had a great birthday. I hope you enjoyed your gifts! :D We love you so much. You are so special.

I just finished my school semester and returned from the craziest weekend of my life at my best friend's wedding, so now I am GEARED UP AND READY to see you all in West Palm Beach. It's nice that this time you'll be a little closer to home for me (about 1 1/2 hours north). I am counting down the days until I can hear Fields of Gold again. It's my fav from Isle of Hope!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Crossing my fingers that you'll be at the M&G, but seeing you on stage is a blessing in itself.

Enjoy your vacay!

Emily :) :) :) :)

Ah, the old "tea in the computer" trick, huh? With mine, it's usually coffee. But the effect is the same.

Thanks for sharing a bit of your news and your life with us. Enjoy your break, and we'll see you soon in West Palm and Cleveland.

Fantastic to have another post from you--and reporting such exciting times, too! I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday and gifts! From her blog we know that Chloe is excited about her big 20 coming up next month (and will be expecting something special, so be forewarned!). Enjoy your time off! I look forward to seeing you at the shows (and hopefully at least one M&G) in Lexington, KY (home for me!)and Nashville, TN next month! All our best!

Lisa, you should have stayed longer in Phoenix as the weather has been wee bit warmer than the West coast ( 14 days over 100 degrees)

Glad your kids enjoyed the travels. What will they do when they find out tha no one else gets that treatment?

enjoy your down time and have fun on the last leg of the tour.

Hey Lisa,

Glad to hear you're getting your computer taken care of. They never seem to take kindly to us sharing drinks with them... go figure. Hopefully Florida will show you some of its more pleasant weather during your stay (though the humidity sounds about right). Have a restful week, and a great rest of tour in the US.

Take care,
-Emily

Thanks for update, Lisa. It was fun to hear all your news. Soory to hear that your "vacation" time is seeing some unusual Florida weather. Hopefully that weather system will move on soon. My wife and I head out tomorrow for Huntersville (near Charlotte), NC to visit my daughter and son-in-law. We will all be in the audience for your June 2nd show! Can't wait. Get some rest, and maybe even a few rays of sun! See you soon.

Hi Lisa! What a wonderful update and so good to hear from you. I'm glad you had such a fantastic time on your West Coast swing and that you had a great birthday.

Even though you were freezing at the Greek and at Santa Barbara you were absolutely awesome! My voice was hoarse and my hands hurt the day after SB (and holy cow! what's up with that vertical hike to get to those seats) but it was well worth it. Easily one of the best nights of my life. =D

I hope you and your family have a great time on your vacation and I hope the last part of the tour is even better than the first! Thank you for sharing your time with us and for just being so incredible. Can't wait til we get to hear from you again.

Glad you love Seattle because Seattle loves you! We have the "bluest skies" as the song goes and we showed off for all of you last week. I saw my first concert last Sunday (third row,isle...waving and cheering) and I might add it won't be my last. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Hope to see you when you return next time to Seattle. Our hearts and arms are always open to you and the Celtic Woman Family!
Love and gratitude,

Time sure does fly when you are having fun, and it seems as if you are having loads of fun!!..glad to hear that! I'm so sorry you were so chilled at those concerts; it will be summer soon. Then you will need a portable fan with you at all times! ha ha. Oh, I heard "Oh, America" on youtube, and it is totally my favorite song now! It reminded me of how great the concert was in Mempis!! Anywyas, I hope you have a fantastic time on your break.

Be safe and have fun! I look forward to hearing from you again!

YAYA! It's great to log in and see you've posted a new blog. Oh, and you're video blog is nice too.
There has been some crazy messed up weather here lately, but Florida seems like a good place to spend vacation.
All of those birthdays so close together sound like blast! and a bus party would have to be loads of fun!!
I watched the vid of "OH AMERICA" on YouTube, and it's such a gorgeous song. I love how it builds to the end. I'm glad I can watch it again live, and like Justin said, it's reminder of how wonderful the show was in MEM!
Wow, Seattle must really be an amazing city. I love to travel and have had quite a few people tell me I should visit there! and I def want to go on that underground tour.. very interesting.
Thanks for the update!!! =)

Thank you so much Lisa for the update. You are so sweet to share your life with us even when you are on vacation. I hope you really enjoy your time off.
I'm sorry that our West Coast weather did not cooperate while you were here. I must say that even with the clouds and rain, you brought so much sunshine to my life when I got to see you perform live on May 3rd. It was easily one of the best nights of my life. Thank you.
I'm sorry that you had to travel so much on your birthday. I'm glad to hear that you all made the best of it. You are such a special lady and deserve the best. Indeed your children are quite lucky, but mostly to have you as their mother. Enjoy the rest of your time in the U.S. My heart is with you.
Sincerely,

Hey Lisa, sounds like you all are having a good time with what little free time you have. Having grown up in the Seattle area, years ago, I know what you mean about the city. Hope to someday get back to see how much it has changed, and of course visit Starbucks ;). I just started my vacation, will be heading to Vegas first, then to WPB. Can't wait to see you all again.

We all are very excited about the Tinkerbell news, and the release of Oh America video on You Tube.

It's hard to believe the Tour is in it's final leg. Good Luck on the rest of the tour, and hopefully better weather.

See ya soon.

Lisa,

It is always so good to hear from you, and you have been missed.

A much deserved break for you, and so earned from all you have given these last many weeks on the road. Try and relax with family and enjoy a change of scenery; get plenty of rest if that is possible, be safe and come back on Tour relaxed and ready to mesmerize your fans with your performing abilities. I am looking forward to that when I see you in June.

Lisa,

We (Larry & Sharon) want to acknowledge our casual connection with you in Seattle and say we were impacted by your genuine kindness. It was a time we will long remember. Ellie is such a precious little girl and truly a gift from God to your family.

In life, I coach High School golf and write a newspaper fishing column. Amidst all of that, I pastor a church in Aberdeen, Washington; so, when Sharon said "we'd be praying for you", it was a sincere statement. We continue to pray God's wisdom, guidance and the revelation of Himself to your household beyond your imagination.

The "Isle of Hope" show that night was awesome and you were amazing. Thanks for being Lisa. In all of our busyness, let's try to stay in touch.

Sharon says: Both Larry and I were born and raised in Canada before moving to the USA. We have some understanding of cultural differences and can relate with you and the kids in your travels.

We enjoyed meeting you in Seattle. Your daughter is adorable and I thank you for your time. I was very glad my husband was able to speak with you. It was a highlight of the evening.

Where we live, it rains nearly 80 inches a year. We are close to the ocean and enjoy outdoor recreation such as tennis, swimming, hiking, kyaking, etc. and Larry enjoys fishing & golf.

We appreciate your excellence in music and the wholesome message you convey. I am praying God's blessing of protection, favor and His presence ever-increasing in your life.

I am looking forward to the new DVD and "Tinkerbell". You have sacrificed to develop your gift and I appreciate the hard work that goes into performing at your level. We both enjoy your music.

Hi Lisa,

So great to hear from you again, you needn't apologize for the long pause. I'm glad you had such great success on the west coast (despite the cold temps) and that you were able to have some fun sight-seeing and visiting those great places with the kids, they are really lucky but not spoiled I hope. Glad you had a good time on your birthday too. Have fun in Florida and be sure to get some well deserved rest (and much needed I'm sure). I'll be in Vegas next week and was hoping you'd still be on the west coast and might be doing a show in the area but no such luck, I am going to try to see another show in NJ or PA in June though, even if it is a 4 hour drive one way, it'll be worth it. Well, keep enjoying the success of your tour and travel safely always.
Oh yeah, be sure to wish Chloe a happy 20th for me.

XOXO
Kerri C.

Hi Lisa,

The Lisa Kelly Forum had a contest to see which members of this forum could create the best Arts and Graphics using you or your likeness in their creation. This contest ended at midnight on June 15th, and in time to pick a winner of this contest and to get the winners name on your CD “Lisa” which you had already signed with “Congratulations” and your signature. This is what we did.

After looking at all the entries several times, and narrowing down the choices to the final few, and then deciding the best choice, we reached a decision. The winner of the signed Lisa CD is entry # 15, http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f234/pshooter1/LisaPerformsa.jpg by Old Goat. This entry is so beautiful and it required imagination and so much work.

Rick, congratulations!

Lisa you can not imagine how happy Old Goat (Rick) was when he found he had won your Lisa CD. I must say I was about as happy for him winning as he was. Now some background on Old Goat. His was the Letter to Lisa on your forum that I brought to Evansville for you to read. His letter was so touching, and it brought tears to my eyes just reading it; and Rick telling you about his situation and how you saved him from wanting to just die, by listening to you sing. It is as I have told you and many others; you have healing power in your singing. God bless you Lisa.

If you get a chance, I'd visit the San Diego Zoo if you go down there again, or the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Both of them are REALLY cool, and worth the trip and heat. Summer down in San Diego is sunny (though it's sunny year round, thus it earns the nickname, Sun Diego), but very, very HOT. It's been pretty nice, though. 80 degrees, pretty much, and we've had about eleven False Springs. But, I think Spring DID come in one of those, because it's already Summer! XD

Anyway, enjoy Summer while it lasts! :)

Love ya,
