Catch up

Hi All
Hope this finds you all well.
I't hard to believe the month of February is almost over.  What a month it has been!  I can honestly say that I have experienced the coldest weather in the last couple of weeks!!  Thankfully the temperature should get a little higher as we head south this weekend.
At the moment we are in the Ohio Theatre in Columbus.  This is the first time Celtic Woman has played this theatre.  Every other time we played the Palace Theatre.  I did spend a week here with Riverdance though, back in 2000 so it's nice to come back.  The theatre here is amazing.  We've been very lucky this month to have played in some really gorgeous theatres.
The Palace in Louisville is stunning.  I love going back there.  And of course there was the Chicago Theatre which is just incredible.  Chicago is a city that I haven't spent all that much time in but i'm making a point of going back.  What a great city!.  I'd live on Garret's popcorn if i lived there though!.  For those of you who haven't heard or Garrets, trust me, it's worth a visit.
Whilst in Chicago, I got to do the first night meet & greet which seemed to have hundreds of people attend.  It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and to meet fans that we hadn't met before.  I was presented with a whole bunch of incredible gifts and I'd like to thank all of you who contributed.  I was speechless, to say the least.  Completely overwhelmed.
From Chicago we went on to Detroit, where i'm convinced I got frostbite!!!.  I've never been as cold in all my life.  Then on to Indianapolis, another city i love mainly because they have an amazing zoo.  Every time we go there, I go to see the walrus in the zoo.  He's incredible but we were staying too far away this time, so i'll have to save it until I go back.  We then spent nearly three days in Louisville, which was great and now here we are in Columbus.  So all is going well.  I've managed to get in to a routine on the road, so i'll hopefully have time to write again soon
With love

Hi Lisa!!!!

I'm glad the tour is going well so far, and don't worry, we'll have some warm weather for you down in Florida!! :) You definitely won't freeze to death down here.

I'm SO glad you liked all of your gifts. I had really wanted to go to the Chicago show(s) but couldn't because of school. I was excited to hear all about it though. I hope you enjoy your spa day. ;)

You and the other ladies stay safe and healthy, and SEE YOU APRIL 4th!!!

Emily :)

Thanks for the update, Lisa. Hope the warmth of the audiences has atoned a bit for the frigid temperatures up north. As Emily said, it'll definitely be warmer here in Florida - maybe TOO warm!

It was fun seeing you and chatting a bit with you in Chicago. Our little celebration at the end of the M&G will give me plenty of material for the next issue of The Voice.

See you in Jacksonville (a few days before Emily sees you in Orlando). Hehehehe..... Sorry, Em.

I am glad that you enjoyed the gifts. The pictures were priceless.

I can't say that you would be cold in Arizona if you were here now. It's in the low 80's during teh day.

Have a fantastic tour.

Seeing Mairead again and meeting you for the first time was certainly one of my favorite memories. Oh...and the show is absolutely wonderful! Hope to see you again in concert soon. You should be able to thaw out in Florida.

Hello Lisa and thank you for posting.

The last month has been busy for me as well with three shows in three weeks and in three different states.

I wanted to thank you or your generous and kind comments at the two very fortunate meet and greets that I attended in Chicago and Louisville with you.

You have been a joy to watch perform again and to sing with, LOL.

Needless to say, "Isle of Hope" is a FANTASTIC show than I cannot wait to see again and strongly encourage everyone else to go see.

Please be safe and travel well.

I attended the Celtic Woman concert last night in Columbus. Wow!!! I loved it and just wished we were a little closer to see your faces but we had full view of the stage and the music just lifted us up.
You really need to see the Columbus Zoo, also.
Thank you for giving me a wonderful birthday present.
Blessings to all of you!!!

Hi Lisa!

It was great for me to be able to see you for three shows in February (from the front row no less) and to meet you in Louisville. You might visit the Louisville zoo sometimes--there are featured polar bears which would have been particularly appropriate this year! So glad you liked our forum gifts from Chicago. Hope to see you at another M & G soon!

Hi Lisa! I just got home from work, very tired, but happy, after spending a great night last night at the Ohio Theatre. This was a very special show for me, as it was 2 yrs ago, on April 5th, 2007 that I first experienced my first CW show, at the Palace Theatre here in Columbus. It has come full circle and last night was just spectacular. Sharing it with 2 of my friends, both who had not seen the new show yet, but are Forum members, was special. Also, for once, You Girls had to come to me! lol, since I only live 15 mins away. But one of these days, CW needs to come to Columbus in GOOD weather, so you can visit Easton Towne Centre for shopping, and the Columbus Zoo for the kids.

Thanks so much for the Special M&G in Chicago, it was a dream come true for quite a few of us. Hopefully Mairead will share the Bear with Ellie once in a while ;).

See you in Atlanta!!

Lisa,
I'm soooooo excited to be seeing you in concert tonight in Knoxville! It is not so cold that frostbite would be a threat, but the weather is cooling back down from a bizarre warm spell. And sad to say it is a bit wet here in Tennessee. I just wanted to say best of luck tonight at the concert, and i absolutely cannot wait to see the spectacular show you have in store for us Knoxvillians!
Much love to you and all the girls!

...there I was fumbling around my home, with the TV on, receiving very little attention.

...at first there was just a glance as I passed the TV; and from beneath my breath... "wow." "What show is this?, I thought to myself"

So I started to watch...and then I started to wonder, and in my best Irish impersonation, I sez to meself...."has there ever, in the history of history itself...been the merger of such a beautiful woman...with such a beautiful voice?

KaBOOM!!!....a Lisa Kelly Fan is formed!.

The concert tonight was AMAZING!!! I don't think I could have asked for a better performance from the five of you than what you gave tonight! Thank you for your amazing work and for making my first Celtic Woman concert one that will never be surpassed! Lisa, you were just absolutely wonderful, and each of your songs (solos and collaborations alike) were breathtaking! Thank you once again for such a wonderful experience!
Much Love and Admiration,

Hey Lisa! It was absolutely wonderful to meet you yesterday in Knoxville, Tennessee! If you remember, I was the one who is now trying to research his own Irish heritage and found out that Gibsons roamed throughout much of England, Ireland, and Scotland. I remember you saying that your neighbors were Gibsons, as well. We also talked about how you and Chloe could see my friend and I singing along in the orchestra seats as you all sang. The entire experience was an absolute thrill from beginning to end. I absolutely loved the show! I've already called the Atlanta and Nashville PBS stations and have left messages about meet-and-greet tickets! Hopefully, I'll get to see you again! You and Chloe were so incredibly kind and sweet! Please give my regards to Chloe and Mairead!

Until next time!

With love,

Lisa,

I am still in the clouds after the Columbus show Friday night! My husband and I were lucky enough to share front row seats with Mel and Zo, and the "Isle of Hope" show was absolutely amazing!! As always, you, Mairead, Chloe, Lynn and Alex continued to melt my heart with your beautiful smiles.

I talked with a lady at work today who has ushered for years at The Ohio Theater. She said she has never seen another group receive a standing ovation at intermission. I told her it is because she has never seen another group as special and wonderful as Celtic Woman!!

Thank you for a fantastic evening! Travel safely for the rest of the tour.

See you in Cleveland!

Love,
Sharon

Lisa, A “Happy Birthday” Wish And A Message To Ellie

Ellie, what a year you have had, this your first year here on earth on 3-05-09.

As I reflect on your birth into a loving and talented family, you should know you are blessed beyond measure and understanding.

Ellie,
As you look around in amazement and wonder about the people you see; those faces you have come to know and trust,
and love; and you now know those names, and have come to know these are the people that you belong with.
They take care of your every need, and you are learning from them that you are loved no matter what you do. You now know who your mother and father are,
And you have two brothers, Jack and Cian, that love you and look after and play with you, and you are learning they are as special with your mother and father as you are, and they love all of you unconditionally.
You have learned so much in your first year, and now you can say words you have learned and were taught, and now you are learning to walk. There is so much you have learned in this, your first year; and this is only the beginning of your life experience.

Ellie, you have been so blessed with the parents you have, and all of their family, and so much talent that is bestowed upon them. To have Scott Porter as your father gives you a world of opportunity ahead of you, if you so desire. With Lisa Kelly as your mother, you have the best singer in the world to learn everything she may teach you, and guide you through the unlimited possibilities to shape your future if you choose that path in your life.

Ellie, what a start you have in this life. Always try and learn everything that is good. So much has been given to you, so in this life give back in double measure and your blessings will multiply, and your life will be filled with joy and happiness.

Ellie, this is only your first year, so be prepared to live a long eventful fulfilling life that dreams are made of, and all of your dreams will come true.

Ellie, I now wish you a “Happy Birthday” on this your first birthday.

Jim Allen

PS: Lisa, I am so glad you have the day off on Ellie`s birthday. Enjoy!

Hello again, Lisa! Hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I have good news! I'll be going to my second show and meet-and-greet on June 17th in Nashville, Tennessee! This time, however, I'm bringing a special lady friend of mine who has turned out to be a big fan of you and the girls. Just this past Monday, we were going on and on about how talented you are and how lucky I was to meet you in Knoxville. She's very jealous! :) Can't wait to see you!

Taylor

P.S. I don't know where my tickets are, yet, but I hope I'm in the orchestra pit again. And you know I'll be happily singing along with you and the girls!

Lisa,
I can't wait to see the new production. As I recall, you will be in Denver in the middle of the summer.
Our warm weather (70's) should be moving east and hopefully warm the entire crew.
My best regards to all,
David

Lisa,
I'm watching you now on a PBS special in Huntington, WV. I saw you and the others in person when you were here last year. I was captivated by your music the first time I saw you on PBS. I must say that you are, without a doubt, the most beautiful lady I have every laid eyes on. Your voice is heavenly and I love listening to you. I have your CD (bought it several years ago in Ireland!) in my car player and listen to you daily. Keep making that lovely music. Thanks for your music and an incredible talent. Shania Twain used to be my favorite female artist but you have long since replace her!! I'd love to see you in a solo concert. I can't tell you enough of how much I love your music! Thanks

David

Lisa,

I saw you perform live for the first time last night in Manchester. What an experience! You far exceeded my expectations, which were quite high based on your DVD and CD performances.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for the new solo song you performed (I won't give it away, in case there are 4 or 5 people out there who don't know what it is...) That is one of my all time favorite songs, and now even more so!

It was a bit weird to not see David playing when you performed piano side, but breath-taking none the less. When you came out to perform "The Voice" the only words I could think to describe you were "The Irish Vocal Goddess" WOW, such power and control.

I hope you enjoyed our version of warm weather while it was here, being as it's snowing again this morning. Oh, sorry the audience was a bit cool at first, people can be that way here in New England. Hopefully you noticed once we warmed up that we didn't want it to end!!!

Your performances were so moving I'm off to see If I can get some tickets to see you in Boston.

Thanks again for sharing your talent with us,

Big Dave

Hi Lisa,

You know there's a simple solution to avoiding the cold weather--schedule more shows in Texas!! ;-) But seriously, I couldn't imagine having a more phenomenal time than I did in Chicago, and you dear ladies played a huge part in making it happen.

I have to keep this brief, but I'll be praying for your continued success on this year's tour, as well as continued safe passage in your cross-country travels. (Another nasty cold front has just rolled in, so I cannot stress the second part enough.)

My mom and I look forward to cheering you on in Austin on April 19th. See you then!

Heaven must be missing an angel... because she was standing on stage at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville CT on March 7th 2009 and her name is Lisa Kelly.

My first time seeing the show live and I have to say, I absolutely loved it. Many times I was moved to tears by your angelic voice and incredible passion for singing. My only regret was that I wasn't sitting in the front row and that my terrible shyness kept me from meeting you at the autograph signing. I did manage to get a closer look at you as you all came out of Coach and I couldn't believe how stunningly beautiful you are. It's hard to believe that someone can sound like an angel and look like one as well.

I first saw Celtic Woman on a PBS special and though anyone who knows me can tell you, this style of music is as far from my personality as it can be, I was absolutely mesmerized by the singing and instrumental talent that you and the rest of the members possess and immediately fell in love with the show. In fact, everytime I saw that it was coming on I watched it and each time I loved it more and more. Now after seeing it live I'm totally hooked.

I hope that you and the rest of the girls enjoy your success for many years to come and that the rest of the tour goes well and takes you back home safely.

P.S. Sorry about the crazy temps but it's like they say....If you don't like New England weather....wait a minute.

Warm wishes,
Kerri C. from Massachusetts

Lisa, I was just at the Wilkes-Barre show and this year it was spectacular...in case you remember I was the guy at the end of the show to stand up and yell.."I Love you Lisa". LOL. Since I couldn't get access to the meet and greet I had to say hi in my own way. A spectacular show. I look forward to seeing the group again.

Lisa,
I know you are in New York now getting ready for the Show tonight, and some of my friends talked to you last night at the Meet and Greet. I just want to thank you for Wilkes-Barre, and what you did made everything perfect. You are still the first person I wish to meet.
